Under Australian and international standards, all teethers fall under the definition of a toy for children up to and including 36 months of age. Teethers are therefore subject to the product safety standard AS/NZS ISO 8124.1 Safety of Toys Part 1: Safety aspects relating to mechanical and physical properties.
These product safety standards exist to ensure that toys meet small part-size and performance criteria to reduce the risk of children from choking on toys since kids under 3 yrs of age have not yet fully developed their reflexes to cough out small items which they may place in their mouth.
The Baby Banana Brush has been independently tested to be compliant with AS/NZS ISO 8124.1.
We have the independent test reports to show that the Baby Banana Brush complies with the product safety testing requirements. It is made from the highest quality food grade silicone and and is BPA, Phthalate, Lead free and completely non-toxic.
